AirStrip Alarm Blackbox gives hospital leadership the alarm data they need to make policy decisions that impact patient and staff experience. With AirStrip Alarm Blackbox, users can view and analyze alarm data by date range, facility, unit, severity, category, and alarm type. The alarm data is pulled from primary source systems, integrated using the AirStrip® AirStreams™ medical device library, and served up in an easy-to-use reporting tool.
The Alarm Duration Report provides data on the duration of alarms, including the average duration across all alarms. Users can see how quickly staff respond to alarms and how specific units or hospitals compare in terms of responsiveness.
The Alarm Event Rate by Unit report calculates the event rate (total number of events) across time and provides insight into what alarm types are most prevalent and in what locations to better understand the types of alarms that are driving alarm fatigue.
The Alarm Event Summary report displays a summary of alarms by type, severity, and category, which can be viewed in a bar chart, table, or pie chart.
The Alarms by Month report provides a view of cumulative alarms by month, broken down by category and severity.
The Hospital Overview report provides a comparison of alarms by hospital or unit to help users understand alarm volumes by location.
The Heart Rate High (HR HI) Parameter Histogram displays the number of HR HI alarms for various parameters. The report captures the highest heart rate for each HR HI alarm and plots it in the histogram.
The Heart Rate Low (HR LO) Parameter Histogram displays the number of HR LO alarms for various parameters. The report captures the lowest heart rate for each HR HI alarm and plots it in the histogram.
The Patient Monitor Detail report provides a summary of alarm frequencies by type, severity, and category for each physiological patient monitor. This information displays in a bar chart format, table format, and pie chart format.
The SPO2 LO Parameter Histogram displays the number of SPO2LO alarms for various parameters. The report captures the lowest SPO2 for each SPO2 LO alarm and plots it in the histogram.
The Time Series report displays the total number of alarms each day, broken down by category and severity.
The Top Alarms report displays the top ten alarms by type and by unit. The report shows top alarms for all units in the top portion of the report, and by unit for comparison.
The Unit Analysis report displays the total number of alarms, the breakdown by severity and category, and the total number of alarms for a given unit.
